0315L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/15/22

1- Believe it or not there just might be an outside chance for rain during the overnight hours. Storms, if any, should not be severe. If storms in NW Oklahoma get going earlier, those could possibly be severe with wind gusts the main threat. We’ll see what happens out there.

2- The heat will remain and may even intensify starting on Sunday into next week. Summer is really trying to hold on but we all know that the fall change will come abruptly. That is usually the way it happens. Expect high temps to be around 100 next week.

3- The FIRE DANGER will ramp up as we continue to stay dry so use extreme caution when using anything related to fire. Also, if you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately so the proper response can be dispatched.

4- Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny. Highs around 90. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly clear. Lows in the mid 60s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
