0410L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/3/2020

1-WARM/HOT & DRY with a wind shift this afternoon. For those who like warm weather, today through the weekend looks really nice. Tuesday will be the beginning of cooler weather as a strong cold front will have pushed through giving us another chance for rain.

2-Model data concerning next week is NOT set in stone yet. Models do differ on temps, timing, and what, when, and where any type of weather may occur. It’s very early in the process so don’t get your hopes up there until we get a little closer to the actual event meaning the cooler weather.

3- Given the nice weather over the next several days, be extremely careful when traveling. Be sure to take precautions for those working in the heat. Humidity won’t be a major issue but just be careful. There is flooding taking place in many areas in southern and southeastern Oklahoma so be very careful if traveling that way. Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny with highs in the lower 90s. Light and variable winds becoming northwest around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-60s. Northeast winds around 10 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
