0350L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/2/2020

1- GENERAL thunderstorm risk for today. We have missed out so far but we need rainfall pretty bad. Chances for rain lessen as we get closer to the weekend. Another front will impact the area Thursday but with a low pressure system to our south hanging on to most of the moisture; our chances for rain will remain low.

2- Colder temps are expected next week as a strong cold front enters the area. This will knock our high temps down possibly into the 70s and overnight lows in the 40s and 50s per guidance. See number 3 graphic from the Wichita NWS office. We’ll see what happens on that one.

3- Overall, we’ll be ok so we’ll just wait and see where any rainfall develops and go from there for the next few days. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the mid-80s. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of thunderstorms 50 percent.

Tonight- Partly cloudy. 20 percent chance of thunderstorms in the evening. Lows in the mid-60s with light and variable winds.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
