0300L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 04/02/24

*Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’ll receive advisories and warnings “directly” from the NWS, in detail. You’ll also receive information from us in Emergency Management.

*We missed the storms again except in the SE part of the county. I don’t have rain totals for that area so if you live in that area and have a rain gauge, let us know how much rainfall you received. We are forecast to receive some showers today but it won’t be very much per guidance right now. We’ll see what happens.

*Overall, we’ll be ok but it will be quite a bit cooler today with showers around. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain with isolated thunderstorms after midnight. A slight chance of rain this morning, then isolated showers this afternoon. Much cooler with highs in the mid-50s. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

FINALLY: WHAT ARE YOUR WORST FEARS WHEN SEVERE WEATHER OCCURS? “EMAIL” me at mike@gcem.org so I can base some information towards those questions. Your names and questions will remain confidential but hopefully we can help you with those fears.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!
