0245L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/08/23

* The main storm front pushed through between 01 and 0230 and we had winds in various areas “around” 60 mph. Some may have been a bit higher. That said, if anyone sustained damage of any kind, please take pictures, and send them to me at mike@gcem.org and we’ll get them recorded. If I need to come by and look, let me know on that one too. 580-249-5969. You can send them through out GARFIELD COUNTY EM app under DAMAGE REPORTS or ASK THE DIRECTOR.

*Showers and thunderstorms will continue for awhile this morning as they did yesterday but keep in mind that we’ll see this scenario later tonight and possibly again Wednesday night too. This is what happens when we get under NW flow aloft. It’s either rain or heat. Just think, winter will arrive in a few months.

*OVERALL, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Partly sunny. A chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning. Highs in the upper 80s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight- Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Humid with lows in the lower 70s. Southeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
