0315L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/5/23

Several fronts will affect the area, bringing with them strong winds. Not much of a temperature change, from average, until Friday when a very strong cold front is forecast to push through the area. WINDS will become the major issue leading into the Friday frontal passage and then temps will fall somewhat for the daytime and overnight hours. There is an outside chance for some mixed precipitation but we’re not holding our breath yet. STORM TRACK is always an issue.

*For the most part everything should be ok except the wind. Being a little warmer but with strong winds puts that chill back into the air. Keep a jacket with you and park in the sun where you can. Winds today will be out of the NNW so being out of the wind but in the sunshine should feel pretty good.

*Overall, we’ll be ok but secure anything that could take flight and keep it secured all week. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the mid-50s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Tonight- Clear, cold with lows in the lower 30s. East winds around 5 mph, becoming south after midnight.
