WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6AM ON WEDNESDAY

EXTREME COLD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6PM TONIGHT UNTIL 12PM THURSDAY.

Not a lot to state other than bitter cold today and if you go outside, cover up. We can’t stress the statements about covering your skin. Frostbite isn’t a joke. It hurts. Anyone who has even come close to it knows how bad it hurts so cover up and stay safe. Even though at 0300 this morning it’s not snowing yet, it will as the day progresses. Stay home or at least stay inside. Walk and drive safely.

Today- Snow showers with a slight chance of freezing rain this morning, then snow showers this afternoon. Patchy blowing snow this morning. Areas of blowing snow this afternoon. Snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches. Ice accumulation around a trace. Brisk and much colder with highs around 15. North winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent. Wind chill values as low as 14 below.

Tonight-Mostly cloudy. A chance of snow showers in the evening. Patchy blowing snow in the evening. Total snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. Cold with lows around 1 below. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of snow 50 percent. Wind chill values as low as 18 below.
