*Weatherwise, windy and warm so keep your eyes peeled for smoke and fire.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Mostly sunny and very windy. Highs in the mid-80s. South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
Tonight- Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Very windy with lows in the upper 60s. South winds 25 to 35 mph. Gusts up to 50 mph in the evening. Chance of rain 20 percent.
FINALLY, As travelers saw yesterday, we had to close 412 both ways yesterday due to smoke. Some of these folks actually had my number and called complaining. We had about a half mile of smoke that you would not have been able to see through. I have an infrared device that allows me to see through smoke. Driving through the smoke, without the HYPERSIGHT DEVICE, YOU WOULD HAVE HIT FIRETRUCKS. UNDERSTAND, WE DIDN’T WANT TO CLOSE THE HIGHWAY, BUT IT WAS FOR YOUR SAFETY. Thanks for your understanding.
I will post details on how many responders, trucks, etc. , were out there after I get to work.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
