0400L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/28/19

1- Are you prepared? Are you tired of me asking? If you have our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app then you are half-way there. So here’s a question; if you were told to STAY HOME & SHELTER IN PLACE, how long could you do so before running out of food? In an extreme situation, it could be a week or longer and with wintertime coming in a few months it could be interesting. Just think about it.

2- I mention in line item #1 a few things to think about. I stated this because with winter on the horizon, you need to consider ice & snow events. If the influx of moisture continues into the winter months as we have seen this summer, it could become a very interesting winter. So, ARE YOU PREPARED? Continue thinking about it but buy a little extra each time you go to the store so when the TV Media panics the world, you can sit there and say: I’M PREPARED!

3- Here is your countywide forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday- Sunny with highs in the mid-80s. Light and variable winds becoming southeast around 10 mph this afternoon.

Wednesday Night- Clear with lows in the mid-60s. Southeast winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
