0350L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-2/3/21

1- Warmest weather of the week will occur today except the winds will be relentless as a storm system approaches. Fire Danger increases a little so keep an eye out for smoke and fire. You know what to do if you see any.  The front will push in sometime late tonight or early Thursday and drop our temps a little. None to maybe some precip may occur but its looking bleak right now. Another front, this one is ARCTIC, will push in Saturday dropping the overnight low Sunday morning possibly to around 10 degrees and wind chills to zero. It will become dangerously cold for us. High temps will be around freezing from Sunday afternoon through mid-week.

2- Other than the news in #1 above, we’ll be ok. You may want to really consider keeping that coat handy. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday- Sunny with highs in the lower 60s. South winds 10-20 mph with higher gusts.

Wednesday Night- Cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s. South winds 10-20 mph with higher gusts.

QUICK NOTE: BRUCKNER’S OF ENID is providing lunch for those going to the funeral in Waynoka on Friday. This is one of the greatest things about folks in NW Oklahoma. When tragedy strikes, we all band together to help and support those in need. Several of our rural departments are sending folks over to support the people and firefighters in Waynoka and to help with lunch. I am going over to help with lunch and was able to enlist a few emergency managers and fellow firefighters to come over and also help with lunch. Again, we all come together in support of those in need. Say a prayer for all families and friends of those that have fallen.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!

MIKE
