0245L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 01/31/24

*Warm temps will continue today and Thursday with highs closer to 70. The only stick in the spokes is the wind. Gusts will be upwards of 20-25 today and near 30 mph Thursday and Friday. Remember that we have a storm system coming in later on Friday and a cold front that should arrive early Sunday morning. Winds on Sunday will become northerly 15-25 gusting to 30.

*There are a few model differences per guidance but we look to receive around ½ inch of rainfall. We’ll see how this mess sets up and deal with it. After frontal passage, we should stay in the mid 50’s or so for high temps next week. Overall, we’ll be ok so enjoy the warmth, the wind, and especially the sun.

*Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 40s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
