0400L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 3/12/25
FOR TODAY- very nice with temps in the mid-70s due to a front that will push in along with light northerly winds around 5-10 mph. Thursday morning should be roughly the same as today but Thursday afternoon, winds will shift around from the south increasing to 10-20 with higher gusts. Winds will increase during the overnight hours too. ANYONE DOING A CONTROLLED BURN today or tomorrow NEEDS TO MAKE SURE THAT FIRE IS COMPLETELY OUT BEFORE FRIDAY.
A storm system will pass through the area on Friday bringing high winds and low humidity. The fire danger will be high. I will be doing a short live video around mid-morning, between 0930L and 1000L explaining what you can do to help mitigate any fires from getting started since not many folks read posts completely. 😊
Overall for now, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny this morning, then becoming mostly cloudy. Highs in the mid-70s. Northwest winds around 5 mph, becoming south this afternoon.
Tonight- Mostly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the lower 40s. Northwest winds around 5 mph.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
