0325L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 5/14/25

Warmer temps along with gusty winds are expected around the area today. We have a storm system that is slowly heading our way for this weekend. Ahead of it we’ll have a few troughs and fronts that will affect our area. Today, winds will become westerly and gusty as one of those troughs move through. Temps could reach the upper 90s later this afternoon. As it appears right now, the first front will pushing late tonight into the early morning hours lowering our temps for Thursday. Not expecting any severe weather with this front.

As stated yesterday, we will have a chance for severe weather sometime over the weekend so just be prepared for that just in case. More details as we get closer to that event.

Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. West winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph this afternoon.

Tonight- Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
