0335L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/21/22

1- The heat continues today into the late evening hours when a cold front will push into the area. Chances for rain are low but a cool down is expected for a few days. Temps will rise back into the 90’s by the weekend.

2- High temps on Thursday should be in the mid to upper 70’s. Grab a jacket!! Low temps Friday morning could dip down into the upper 50’s.

3- Temps will fluctuate so be prepared for that. The Fire Danger is increasing so keep an eye out for smoke and fire and call 911 asap if you see any. Remember, we do have an arsonist out there so stay aware and report ANY suspicious activity.

4- Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday-Sunny and hot, with a high near 100. South southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.
