1- We’ll experience some thunderstorm activity early this morning as it zooms across the area. These storms are moving very quickly and should exit our area in an hour or so. They have been pulsing up and down but they shouldn’t be severe. Expect some lightning, thunder, winds, and rain, some heavy at times. Otherwise we should see some sunshine today.

2- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny, Windy with highs in the upper 60s. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph shifting to the west 25 to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight-Clear and colder with lows in the upper 30s. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph becoming west around 10 mph after midnight.

Yesterday afternoon the Mayor here in Enid did another declaration with some additional restrictions. PAGE 4 was modified and I sent out a revised page 4 in the next post. Many of you have ask some good questions and a few of you were blocked for your stupidity on my page. Many of these questions need to be answered by those that wrote this declaration and some by health officials. I took around a hundred calls yesterday and will do everything I can to get answers for you. Please be as patient as you can until those answers can be provided. I will be coordinating with health officials today getting a few more answers along with city officials for the same reason.

I want everyone to understand that all of us, which includes you and me, are having some anxiety because of this virus. Depending on who you talk to is how bad things are. This emergency is being run by the State Health Department. My role is to support them if they require our help in coordinating resources here in the county. So far, that hasn’t been needed. As for testing; you are to contact your primary physician and they will direct you to where you can go for testing. Both hospitals can test but there are requirements and procedures which they dictate.

Do your best to keep within the boundaries of the declaration as Enid’s does mirror the state declaration. We’ll get through this. As I obtain new info, I will pass it along either here or over our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app.
