0315L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 04/28/24

*First of all, Damage assessment will take place in the Hillsdale area early this afternoon. Anyone who suffered STRUCTURAL DAMAGE needs to contact us at 580-249-5969. I will be working with HCFD & KREMLIN fire folks on the assessment.

*Yesterday was an interesting day to say the least. Tornado warnings occurring all day long kept everyone on their toes. Today should be quiet for the most part with a Marginal Risk for thunderstorms. We are on the back side for any t-storm activity so we may not see any more rain until later in the week. For those that received rainfall yesterday, please send those totals to me via email at mike@gcem.org

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning, then sunny this afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall this morning. Highs in the upper 70s. South winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming west this afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming north after midnight.

FINALLY- I will be addressing some issues we had yesterday and how some of your questions can be answered for future events while that event occurs.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
