0330L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 04/29/24
*TRANQUIL weather will continue with sunny skies and fairly light winds. Enjoy this today as rain chances along with thunderstorms are back in the forecast starting Tuesday, through the rest of the week. The dryline will become that dividing line between storms and Fire weather. The chances are low but will increase as the week progresses. Another storm system and front will affect the area by Thursday.
*Overall, for today, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs around 80. East winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming southeast this afternoon.
Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 50s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
The above stated, there may be a chance for thunderstorms today in NW Oklahoma so if traveling out that way, just keep a stray eye out just in case.
Note: On a severe weather day and I do a few live broadcasts on social media, take the time earlier in the day to read my posts so you know what MIGHT occur later in the day. During an event, I do show radar and explain WHERE things are happening and WHERE they are heading. Get to know the region you are in and learn the area as best you can. I will try to clarify some of this but I don’t see the questions during a broadcast since I have very limited help these days in operations. As was the case the other day, we were a bit overwhelmed. I’ll try to have someone look for the questions and we’ll answer those as best we can.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
