FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Nice warm day yesterday and records were set!! Back to reality today. The cooler air, the winds, and tonight maybe a cold rain. Many variables still out there.
That said, the fire danger still exists so be careful.
At approximately 0140 local time this morning, there were folks out on a county road shooting off fireworks. They weren’t caught this time but hopefully they will be soon. STUPIDITY doesn’t come close to their mentality when we are in a BURN BAN. Even when we aren’t, it’s illegal. They apparently don’t realize they put lives in danger when they do this. They are also financially responsible for the response and for any damages created by their actions. Hopefully common sense will kick in soon.
Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Sunday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 51. Windy, with a north northeast wind 16 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph.
Sunday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. North northeast wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Have a super day!!
