1- Not much to say about the weather right now other than we’ll continue to have drizzle and rain. The next few days there will be a risk for severe weather so for us, that increases on Wednesday. Just be prepared for strong winds and hail if storms do occur. We’ll advise as needed. This said, here is your countywide forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

TODAY-Cloudy. A slight chance of rain showers and isolated thunderstorms early in the morning and afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 70%.

TONIGHT-Rain showers and scattered thunderstorms in the evening and overnight. Lows in the lower 50s. Southeast winds around 10 mph.

2- Since the COVID-19 VIRUS is upon us, my app provider has added a COVID-19 icon in red on the GARFIELD COUNTY EM APP per my request. Tapping this icon gives you access to a lot of info DIRECTLY from the CDC. If you have our app, check this out as there is really good info there. At the bottom of the list is COVID-19 Local News.  This is where our LOCAL Garfield County Health Department can push out information as a push notification. They will be trained on this today and have access so they can push LOCAL and area wide IMPORTANT INFO TO THOSE WITH OUR APP. Let your friends know this is there as the health department will have important info for the public.

For those OUTSIDE OF THE COUNTY who may want only the CDC AND GARFIELD COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT INFO, do this; download the app. Go to settings. Tap Notification settings, tap and turn off all channels except the CDC alert channel if you want that. That won’t affect the push info the local health department pushes out and then you won’t have to worry about getting other Garfield County notifications. We’ll test this channel a few times this morning and then I will release this to the Health Department.

I have more info on other things but may just do a live broadcast sometime this morning or early this afternoon.
