0355L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM ENID/GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/26/18

1- 100% chance for rain today so be sure to take an umbrella with you if you go anywhere. We are expected to receive a few inches of rainfall so our potential for flooding will increase if we get training storms or just those very heavy cells over the area. Be careful in low lying areas.

2- There is a risk for severe weather to our west and southwest so if you plan to travel, check the forecast here and your destination before leaving.

3- Overall, there may be some thunder and possibly some hail later this evening but we do need the precipitation. We’ll keep an eye out and send info over our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app as needed.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday- Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 58. South southeast wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Wednesday Night- Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between midnight and 3am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 42. South wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
