0305L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 02/07/24

*Windy today as a trough out west moves our way. This will allow for the wind gradient to tighten and we can expect wind gusts upwards of 35 mph by mid-day. Winds will remain gusty through the day and overnight then we’ll add a chance for showers. The chance will remain at about 20% for now.

* A front pushes in and through the area Friday night into Saturday. There will be a low chance for rain with the passage of the upper system later on Saturday. We’ll see how that mess works out. Overall for now, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy and breezy. Highs in the lower 60s. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of showers. Lows in the upper 40s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
