0315L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 11/6/24

*There is a small change in additional rain possibilities for the next few days. The upper low out west has slowed down therefore lowering our additional rain chances for the next few days. That said, we’ll have another dry day with some wind to help dry things out a little. The storm track for the next few days “appears” like it will give the western 1/3 of Oklahoma a better chance for heavier rainfall on Thursday and then our rainfall may be a little delayed until the Friday/Saturday timeframe. There is still a few caveats involved here but we’ll see what nature sends to us and we’ll deal with it.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the mid-60s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

FINALLY: I personally would like to say THANK YOU to everyone at the NWS/NORMAN and TULSA for their professionalism and diligence during the last week during unprecedented weather. The number of tornado warnings were the highest ever in Oklahoma for November and it’s due to the newer technology that is used that helped in this process. With much of the EM community having that access and training has helped us to help them too. Just know that when the weather goes bad, we’ll be there for you to help you get through the storms as the NWS is there for us to do the same thing.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
