FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

We missed the rain and severe storms so this should allow you to understand that we don’t control the weather. Mother Nature does what she wants, when she wants, and where she wants. This is understood but we do have a few opportunities this week to receive some rain.

Tuesday and possibly Wednesday appear to be those days. See graphicasts below. Many variables come into play again such as timing of moisture return, arrival of the storm system, daytime heating, etc. We’ll do what we do best and wait to see what, when and where all this mess sets up once again and hopefully this time we see some moisture. Don’t get me wrong here. We don’t want severe weather BUT if that’s what it takes to get some rain, so be it!

Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN

Today-mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 67. North wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tonight-partly cloudy, with a low around 45. East wind around 8 mph.

Have a super day and we’ll advise as needed.
