0325L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-08/02/21

1- Warm and mild for the next several days and then reality returns with the heat being turned back up. Very low rain chances reappear around Thursday so we’ll see what happens. Overall, a nice few days and cool nights so enjoy!! Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs in the upper 80s. Northeast winds around 10 mph.

Tonight-Clear. Lows in the lower 60s. East winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

2- WE WILL CONDUCT THE 3 MINUTE STORM SIREN TEST TODAY AT NOON IN ENID. Remember that storm sirens are an “outdoor” warning device. If you live close to one, you may hear them inside. We are slowly replacing the older sirens with voice capable electronic sirens. This gives us the capability to talk to you. I’ll have more details on these type of sirens in the future.

3-Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. This app along with our storm siren network should warn you with ample time of any dangers out there. Our app has saved lives in the past. It’s here to help save yours too.

Have a good day!!
